This is a unique ceremonial cave exploration tour, an experience of a lifetime! You get to immerse into this impressive cave system once used by the ancient Maya to perform sacrificial rituals. You will be accompanied by a professionally trained, licensed tour guide. To access this ceremonial site you swim, follow underground tunnels, passageways and burial chambers decorated with stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient clay pottery. This tour begins at 8:00am and concludes around 3:00pm.

The beauty of the natural formations inside the cave was breathtaking! Not surprised National Geographic rates it top cave. Strenuous adventure - but worth it! Great lunch afterwards.

The ATM cave is a must do, and this is the team to go with. We left early, missing the crowds, adding to the experience with crystal waters and the ability to move at your own pace. Hector was an excellent guide, Wayne the driver and food specialist nailed it, and let’s not forget Ruben, who made the booking simple and put up with our flexible adventure schedule. No cameras are allowed in the cave to preserve the artifacts, but it makes the experience. No stopping for selfies, no waiting on the over zealous tourist to take 30 pics of the same scull, just the experience as it was meant to be. I have to add we booked two more tours with this team, Takal, cave tubing (we skipped the zip lining - not our jam) and every one of them was as good as the ATM. Thier office is quaint but don’t let that detour you. Thier cars are new, the guides are great (feels like the best in the town creating their own independent thing) and they know where to eat. No bologna sandwiches on their tours. It’s the team to book with. You’ll have a great time.

This tour was amazing. Words can't really describe it. We were originally planning to canoe down the Macal River but decided to switch to the ATM Cave tour and I am so glad that we did. Hector knows everything there is to know about the tour and made us feel very comfortable. Wayne, the driver, was also incredibly accommodating.
