  • This tour departs from Orcas Island. The island can only be reached by the Washington State Ferry System. If your party is not already on island we recommend our Anacortes departure location.
  • Check in begins 30 minutes prior to departure.
This experience is non-refundable and cannot be changed for any reason. If you cancel or ask for an amendment, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Everything about today's adventure was fantastic Captain Matt took us up into Canada because that is where the Orcas were. Naturalist Liberty was a wealth of information about the wildlife and sights we saw. I learned so much and the time flew by. I can't sit to go out again.

Our tour was fantastic!! We were met at the dock, and given a brief safety talk, and then spent the next 3.5 hours seeing sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, and orcas. The naturalists on board circulated and talked to everyone, and gave us great information of the marine life in the surrounding area. It was a great trip!

Outer Island Expeditions was able to accommodate my daughter and I at the last minute when a different tour company cancelled on us the day before our planned whale watching trip. Our captain, Trevor, and naturalist, Clint, were great--they were informative, enthusiastic, and clearly love their job. They got us close to a pod of 4 transient Orcas, knew the whales' genealogy and history, and we were able to observe the whales for an extended period of time. We also saw Harbor Seals, Sentinel Sea Lions, Sitka deer, and Mouflon sheep. A lot of animals viewed in a short 3 hour tour and the best part was they were free doing their own thing out in the wild. Absolutely worth the time and the cost.
