The hiking trail is considered to be moderately difficult (Level 4 of 5). You’ll hike up 500 feet at a 40-degree incline. After the roughly 45-minute hiking exercise, you’ll reach the Mt. Britton observation tower. It’s elevated at 3,087 feet over the sea level. And you’ll be rewarded with an amazing, 360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean, metropolitan area, and Caribbean Sea. If you’re lucky, you can even see Puerto Rico’s islands of Culebra and Vieques!

Luis our tour guide was awesome!!!! We had a lot of fun with him and got to see a lot! Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Would 100% recommend for individuals interested in learning more about the rainforest and seeing some cool sights.

Luis was awesome. Great experience, very informative. Got there before a lot of the crowds! And make aure you bring good shoes!

Excellent tour. Our guide Luis was knowledgeable about the biodiversity in the rain forest and pointed out snails, stick insects, and other tiny things we would have otherwise missed. I booked this tour through our hotel and did not have full info. We rode in van for about an hour from San Juan, stopped for a bathroom break, stopped at a waterfall for a photo op, then hiked uphill to Mount Britton. The trail was paved, a bit slick at times, but hiking boots not necessary. I wore running shoes. After descending we had a stop for lunch at a roadside place- delicious (cost of food not included in tour cost). Then we went to a quiet spot on the river where folks could swim or jump in off of a rock or off of a rope swing. It was relaxing. All in all, really great. I was glad it was a small group (9 people). I wish I had totally known the full itinerary in advance- I would not have packed snacks (I didn't know about lunch) or worried about a change of clothing and shoes, for instance. On the other hand, we didn't get caught in any downpours. If we had gotten soaking wet I might have been glad for the change of clothes.
