So much fun. Our tour was led by Elis, a lovely local woman whose family goes back many generations in SMA. She took us to 5 different restaurants in el Centro, each one so special in its own way. Difficult to believe the number and variety of very good restaurants here. We were treated so well by all the staff, they obviously have love for Elis and made us all feel so welcome. Don’t miss this tour.

I’ve been to Mexico many times and always loved the food. But tonight I ate 3 new-to-me splendid dishes with gusto. This not a Tex-Mex . This was terrific, authentic food with a story behind every plate. Our guide was amazing. She was full of stories about the history of food in Mexico and why she had selected the 5 places we visited. She was relaxed about the pacing and very responsive to our questions. I will go back to every restaurant we visited for more and remember this terrific tour fondly.

I have been to SMA many times before but had never taken this tour and I am so glad I did. My wife and I did it and learned so much about the food and its history. Everything we had to eat was delicious and our tour guide Elisa Torres was very knowledgeable and experienced! Highly recommend taking this tour!
