None. The guide had very little knowledge. Gave us xerox copy of what we supposedly saw at the end of the walk.

My group and myself felt terribly disappointed with the tour we got last week. We asked for this to be cut short, because of how terrible it was going. The person who gave us the "tour" as nice and polite as she was, had absolutely no idea of San Miguel de Allende, and while this might work for foreigners, we as Mexicans soon realized she had no clue. We learned absolutely nothing, I feel totally ripped off being that there are very high quality tours that charge nothing, I overpaid expecting a good experience. Be aware of this experience as it’s presented as a non formal friendly guide, however doesn’t make sense to pay for literally nothing. You can find very well prepared guides in the streets who also speak very good English.

It’s a great “walking city” that’s challenging to walk. It has more stuff to see than any place we’ve visited ( and we’ve been on the road in Latin America for 16 months)…if you don’t mind treadmill elevation, narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets. Granted, we are staying three months in the hills surrounding the historic centro, so our comments should be viewed from that vantage point. Overall? Gray place for a few days; longer stays should keep your lodging location (aka somewhere on flat land) in mind.
