    05:00 Departure to the Tatio Geysers located at a distance of 97 Kms of San Pedro and at an altitude of 4,300 meters. Arrival at approximately 06:45, the temperature is below zero. Breakfast and hike led by the geothermal field, observation of the impressive columns of steam (Geysers), fumaroles, hundreds of pools of boiling water and high peaks is a spectacular vision of nature at dawn. In this place will have a breakfast(te,coffee, juice,leche,1 sandwich, 1 chocolate) The return visit the town of Machuca, a former ancestral people, with houses built in the traditional way. Return to San Pedro de Atacama.

Hermosa excurcion a los Geiser de Talio y alrededores. Un amanecer soñado entre géisers y un buen chapuzón en las piletas de aguas termales. Lo recomiendo y no dudaría en volver a ir.

In de omschrijving van de touroperator stond dat je met maximaal 14 personen in kleine busjes op pad zou gaan. Bij TurisTour dus niet! Met een grote bus vol mensen gingen we naar de Tatio geisers. Daar aangekomen viel het enigszins tegen, veel mensen die zich een plek vooraan toe eigenden, om maar niks te missen. Daarna ontbijt bij de bus, al net zo, wie het eerste komt, wie het eerst maalt. Op was op! Daarna naar de warmwaterbronnen, je kreeg een half uur om eventueel te zwemmen, prima. Toen onderweg allerlei dieren gezien, maar met zo’n grote bus kun je bijna niet stoppen om foto’s te maken, dit tot ongenoegen van meerdere passagiers. Bij het plaatsje Mapuche konden we kennismaken met de lokale gerechten die de bevolking gemaakt had, prima. En zo eindigde de tour. Als ik het nog eens zou doen, ging ik op eigen gelegenheid of met écht een klein gezelschap!

First of all we have waited for more than one hour outside in the cold because the bus was late. We had no news, we asked the manager of our hotel to call for us. Then the bus came but the driver was dangerous and drove very fast.. Arriving at destination someone told us than all the people in the bus speak Spanish not English while we had requested an English tour.. So they were not able to do the tour for us. Fortunately one of the guid has his uncle and friend in another company and asked them to take care of us in their English tour. Shame to your company for not having honored your part of the contract.
