Haro, Haro, Spain The Barrio de la Estación de Haro is known for the many wineries that were built here, close to the railroad tracks in order to transport wine barrels more easily. Here we’ll visit a wonderful 100-year old winery where we’ll taste a selection of its best wines, from the most classic to the most young and daring, aligned with the latest and most revolutionary trends. Wine is not the only magical liquid that’s produced in these lands. As Rioja is also one of the northernmost points in Spain where the country's liquid gold (olive oil) is produced, we’ll do a tasting of a delicious extra virgin olive oil (here we call it AOVE, the acronym for aceite de oliva virgen extra in Spanish). 90 minutes
Laguardia, Laguardia, Spain Rioja is not only wine, wine and wine, but also a territory extraordinarily rich in historical heritage. We’ll see medieval towns such as Laguardia, with baroque churches (full of gold, virgins and cherubs, inherited from the Spanish Counter-Reformation) alongside the latest “cathedrals “ of wine, such as the Marqués de Riscal wineries by Frank O. Gehry (which uses the same titanium as the Guggenheim Bilbao museum), and the Bodegas Ysios by Santiago Calatrava. 30 minutes
Labastida, Labastida, Spain In La Rioja, lunchtime (and gastronomy, of course) is a sacred thing. For this reason, we’ll go to a restaurant that specializes in traditional Riojan cuisine, a delicious menu and, check this out, more excelent local wine! 90 minutes

Fantastic experience with Mattin from Ikusnahi tours! Beautiful scenery, delicious wine tastings, and amazing hospitality from everyone. The Basque & Spanish people are so welcoming and friendly - this was a highlight of our trip. There are so many incredible wineries in Rioja, it was nice to have an experienced guide take us through everything. Highly recommend!!

Great whole day trip to Rioja wineries. Ania was very knowledgeable and took us to 3 great wineries, lunch, and the medieval village of LaGuardia. My husband and I enjoyed this wine tour.

What a wonderful organization - so helpful and professional! Mark was our guide and did such a terrific job sharing his knowledge of the Basque Region and it's history. An extra bonus was his love of his job. He was so enthusiastic, had a lovely sense of humour and a great relationship with the various people we met on our tour. The countryside was spectacular, and each winery had something special to enjoy. We enjoyed the wine tastings so much that we requested wines from these vineyards at other restaurants during our stay - and very successfully! The highlight was a delicious multi-course lunch offering such great food from the region. Mark also had some really great recommendations for the rest of our visit in San Sebastian. This was a terrific way to get familiar with the countryside, and Basque food and wine - and Mark was a stellar guide. We loved our tour!
