Spain is widely famous for its wines' high quality, and the cradle of these wines, the land that provides its name to the apellation of La Rioja, is not far from San Sebastian. Enjoy visiting two wineries (bodegas), have a relaxing walk through the vineyards, learn the wine-making process from the grape harvest to the aging and finish the experience with a wine tasting in each winery to taste some of the best Rioja wines.  Two different wineries will be visited in order to learn the difference from one winery to the other. Along the day we will also visit a charming medieval village, Laguardia.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

The vehicle was not comfortable- there were 7 people in a utility van , where only 1 door opened on side and windows were very difficult to manage. The lunch was excellent , as were the 2 wineries we visited. The tour guide was nice however- he really didn't give us any historical or cultural information unless asked. the vineyards gave info on wine , history etc.. Nice tour, but expected more for price.

Matheo(sp?) was a great tour director. Great driving and knowledgeable about Rioja wines. The cave at the first winery was very interesting 2.1 km long.

Wonderful day, enjoyed the winery tours immensely and our guide was very knowledgeable. The weather also was beautiful that day.
