    Lying in the Naukluft national park, south of Walvis Bay, Sandwich Harbour is a truly pristine natural highlight of Namibian landmark attractions. Massive sand dunes engulfed by Atlantic tides; the reed lined lagoon fed by freshwater springs is haven for many wetland birds. Desert ostrich, jackal, springbok etc are often spotted on the way into Sandwich Harbour. Climb up the dunes and having a 360° bird-eye view of the endless horizons, hear the splashes of sand dunes being washed into the tides, perhaps could be one of the most exhilarating moments in your life. Fantastic experience with Cleo as our guide. Leaving early in the morning, Cleo explained to us the life of the fauna and flora in the desert with a lot of humor and professionalism. The course in the dunes was magnificent, following the ocean at the foot of the immense dunes is truly an experience not to be missed. The brunch in the dunes, washed down with South African rosé sparkling wine was amazing. Thank you Cleo for this exceptional morning. PS: @Cleo: on your advice I bought one of these fanstatic pair of Kudu leather shoes!

Take this half day ride on 4x4 car experience. It is in the north part of the Namib National Park, near Walvis Bay. This part of the reserve is yellow sand (different from the red sand in the south) You start driving through Walvis Bay where the houses are across the sea. Large flamingo flocs are resting in the shallow water. Their take off for flight or their "dancing" while looking for the food in the low seabed, was exiting. You drive through the red banks of the salt pools which is unique. Then you experience the challenging derive on the seashore where practically dunes kiss the sea. Going down on 37 deg sand slops is also unique. An unforgettable experience.
