This tour was a last minute decision and we didn’t regret it one bit. There were 3 of us and 2 went on the scooters while I went in the car with Eduardo. It was fascinating to go up into the highlands where it seemed more real. The donkey turning the wheel for sugar cane (while definitely only for tourists) was interesting and the lava cave also was a highlight. This tour is eco friendly and well worth the 4 hour trip. Excellent commentary by Eduardo who’s English was great and we learned so much from him about Santa Cruz.
