Our catamaran has a capacity of 90 people, but for the comfort of all guests on baord a maximum of 60 people is allowed per tour. It is very spacious and comfortable with open sitting areas with sofas, some lounge beds on the deck, nets with bean bags and private inflatable pool that can be set up when the boat is stopped halfway through the trip. USB dockets available on board to charge your small devices. Unlimited drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic are included as well as a freshly prepared snack. From June to October you have the possibility to see turtles as the Murdeira bay is their mating place. From February to March you have the possibility to see whales. Please note that there is no guarantee to see turtles or whales.

    The excursion starts from Palmeira, the fishing village with colorfull and typical capeverdian houses. Palmeira is located in the north-west of the island and hosts the main port.

  • Murdeira, Murdeira, Cape Verde
    Murdeira bay is the mating place of the turtle during the summer because there the water is calm, since is protect by the coast from the left hand side and by the mountain from the right hand side. The catamaran stops at the base of "Monte Leao" that is a mountain in the shape of a sleeping lion.

    On the way to Palmeira is possible admire Serra Negra, the "Black mountain" located in the natural reserve of the east coast. From the the top of this mountain is admirable an amazing lunar landscape, while at the base of the mountains there is one of the wildest beaches of Sal, which welcomes the Loggerhead Turtles during the summer

Ik had hoge verwachtingen omdat ik vooraf op Instagram en YouTube beelden had gezien van de excursie - maar die zijn meer dan waargemaakt, zelfs ondanks dat we geen haaien of walvissen gezien hebben. Dit is echt een aanrader. De crew zet zich in om je niet alleen een excursie maar echt een ervaring te geven. Ik had laat geboekt maar werd dezelfde avond nog gebeld om de boeking te bevestigen. In de ochtend werd ik opgehaald bij mijn hotel - Claudia die de leiding had verwelkomde ons met veel enthousiasme en humor, dat maakte dat ik me ook als solo traveller meteen op mijn gemak voelde. De boottrip was prachtig en de crew was supervriendelijk. De uitleg van de crew, het zwemmen, snorkelen en vissen, het kijken naar vliegende vissen, en het dansen aan het eind…en genoeg drank en lekkere snacks! Niks moet, je kan zelf kiezen waar je zit en waar je aan meedoet (mensen wisselen heel organisch van plek tijdens de tocht). Ik voelde me dermate op mijn gemak dat ik na een lange tijd van onzekerheid over mijn lichaam gewoon de sprong waagde in de zee (meerdere keren) en heerlijk gezwommen heb rondom de boot zonder me ongemakkelijk of onveilig te voelen. Het meest veelzeggend vind ik nog hoe er met een dame omgegaan werd die slecht ter been was. De crew deed er alles om haar bij de rest en bij alles te betrekken en een zo aangenaam mogelijke tijd te geven - echt klasse! Alles wat ik vooraf op sociale media en TripAdvisor zag hierover is waar, ik zou dit zo weer boeken als ik nog eens naar Sal kom. Oh, en Claudia is the best!! :)

Absolutely brilliant afternoon out in the catamaran, I have disabilities and nothing was to much hassle for the crew. Hubby loved the snorkelling and I just chilled and watch the world go by, until later that is w hen the party licked off, boy the crew can dance lol
