My husband and I had a super day with our guide and driver. Firstly the driver was immense - he drove so carefully and politely … the world could learn from him how to drive so well. Our guide was such good company and shared so much with us. We chatted about life and farming as well as enjoying the sites. Everyone should do this trip!

Company of the two guides, one of whom is very pleasant Francophone because not intrusive. The visits are well organized but a problem, and size: this island is not very interesting...between unequipped beaches (you still have the choice to die of sunshine or burnt to the 3rd degree under the beautiful sun...) like that of Salamansa or Bahia das Gatas, villages without the slightest cachet, absence of cultural places (they found the way to keep closed ad æternam the people's palace!!), markets of ridiculous size (despite the resources of Sto Antao), totally uninteresting shops content to sell the worst low-end products made in China...little local things, no crafts (or so little), an insecure central market where you will be harassed constantly... The beautiful landscapes remain where we would like to spend more time: walking in the dunes, having time to swim... However, I recommend this visit.
