Ultimate Gastro Experience

This is an amazing tour! I went with my friends and our tour guide was Rijad. He is really friendly and knows so much about Sarajevo and Bosnian culture in general. He explained the history behind every dish and how is made. We had such a fun time, I didn't even notice that 4 hours have passed. Make sure you go to this tour hungry, because you will be eating a lot. Everything was delicious and I can't decide if I liked the cevapi or the pie the best. If you want a chill tour I definitely recommend this one.

Whether you are in Sarajevo for the first time or the nth time, surely Alem will take you down the city streets to discover the tastes that make up this great city in a way that you start to feel it might belong to you or in a way that seems like the first time. Kudos to him for making it veggie friendly (no small feat in Bosnia and Herzegovina) as much as possible. Nevertheless, what I liked most was his ability to play some kind of game between the many cafes and restaurants we visited, and shift the conversations dealing with culture, religion, and history. Of course you could visit some of these places on your own, but it is not so often we run into someone so skilled at making connections on many different levels. Like going to a theatre, and every cafe is a different actor. There is not much I can take issue with about the tour, well one recommendation, skip breakfast for sure, and maybe the coffee at the final stop could have been better. All in all though I’d rate the tour 9/10.

This tour is one of the best we have encountered in our travels--well worth the reasonable price and time! We were absolutely lucky to be the only 2 on the tour today and that our guide was Alem! Not only did he walk us around the city sharing site information and suggestions but we also ate waaaay too much. And this is a good thing. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we loved that it had so much local flair. Alem is chock full of Sarajevo history, and answered our grazillion questions about literally everything. He also shared food traditions at each local eatery. Highly recommend this tour AND make sure to ask for Alem. He has a chill vibe, excellent english, and knows all of the places to eat the good things. Things to note: Not the best tour for vegetarians (I think they can adjust but there is a LOT of meat on the tour) The pace is EASY. Very few stairs and you can manage a pram. You're going to end up being friends with Alem at the end, too.
