Our hosts shared the history of Banari and the community food ecosystem that provides high quality food to the people that live there. We got to visit a garden that grows a local specialty, sweet onions, go to a local bakery to pick up bread also special to the area. Then we learned how to make Sardinian pasta, and other dishes. We were absolutely thrilled to share a table with our hosts and their friends, sharing stories and fun over good food and wine. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone curious about life in Sardinia, and how community living is so important.
