About 8 to 10 kilometers is the Sarnath site. The stupa and lion with ashok Chakra are almost 2500 years. I think if you are in varanasi this is a must visit place. It is well maintained. You need one day to really see this place. Avoid holidays as lot of rush. Lot of school study tours are there on the weekends. Place is a bit dusty. Perhaps you can carry a face mask.

Not worth the price, get an Uber or a taxi to sarnath and you can check it out by yourself. What the guide explained you could read on the explanations at the monuments by yourself. It’s way too expensive and you can easily do it by yourself.

Love ❤️ the Sarnath tour led by guide Indrajeet. Guide was very knowledgeable about the sights. They were on time at our hotel. All entrances inclusive. Driver was very trustworthy too. We placed our belongings with him when we went to museum. Guide brought us to a respectable money exchange too. Lunch was non inclusive but guide brought us to a great restaurant that serves delicious Thali sets. Very authentic foods. ????????????????????????
