Our tour guide Rory made the 3 day tour of Lewis and Harris very enjoyable. We met several really delightful folks from several other countries, and became friends which was an unexpected plus. The B&B's chosen for us were very accomodating. The visit to an independent Harris Tweed weaver for education and demonstration was the highlight of our trip. The lengthy ferry ride was smooth. We wished for more stops and for more history/backstory to the places we were seeing, but we were very appreciative of Rory's willingness to change the itinerary when we found ourselves overwhelmed with other busses/sightseers. All in all, this was a very nice adventure.

The Hebrides are beautiful but the this tour fell a long way short. Personable enough bus driver Daniel, but he was no guide and knew very little about any of the attractions or scenery. The weather wasn't kind unfortunately, but we seemed to have to stick to the itinerary without deviation even if that meant a 30 minute stop on a freezing and wet beach, or taking photos when the mist was in and there was nothing to see!! Perhaps some inclement weather alternatives need to be available. The tour left us to our own devices regarding meals even when it was Sunday and almost nothing open. Being dropped off in the rain at the ferry terminal with nearly 4 hours to wait before the ferry and few eating options was poor planning indeed. Surely it couldn't be too hard to arrange with a venue to be open. There were 15 people across two buses who needed hot drinks and something to eat.
Closer attention needs to be made to the fine details of the tour because it really mars the experience.
None of this is to take away from how glorious the Hebrides are, and some of the worthwhile stops like the Calloway weavers. Just a shame we went with this company.
