    Wardlaw Mausoleum was built in 1634 as the burial place of the Frasers (Clan) of Lovat. It is in Kirkhill, Highland, Scotland, 8 miles west of Inverness.

  • Urquhart Castle, Drumnadrochit, United Kingdom
    Once one of Scotland’s largest castles, Urquhart saw great conflict during its 500 years as a medieval fortress. Control of the castle passed back and forth between the Scots and English during the Wars of Independence. The power struggles continued, as the Lords of the Isles regularly raided both castle and glen up until the 1500s. The last of the government troops garrisoned here during the Jacobite Risings blew up the castle when they left. Urquhart’s iconic ruins remain, offering glimpses into medieval times and the lives of its noble residents.

  • Great Glen Distillery, Inverness, United Kingdom
    The Great Glen Distillery was established by two friends during the first lockdown of 2020. Hotelier Daniel Campbell and renowned chef Adam Dwyer built the distillery in what was Daniels late mother’s shop, in the small Highland village of Drumnadrochit. Together Daniel and Adam began tinkering with the idea of establishing a distillery that would draw its inspiration from the local area and set to work developing a recipe that used some local botanicals and water sourced from Loch Ness before refining and releasing their signature Great Glen Gin in July 2021, which takes its name from the Great Glen fault line that was created by glaciers more than 10,000 years ago.

In 1625 Duncan Forbes purchased Culloden from the Macintosh Clan. Bonnie Prince Charles stayed here 3 nights prior to the battle.

  • Culloden Battlefield, Culloden Moor, United Kingdom
    Culloden battle changed world history on the 16th April 1746. The Jacobite army fought to reclaim the throne of Britain from the Hanoverians for a Stuart King the British army was equally determined to stop this happening a ferocious European war had come to Scotland -dividing families and setting clan against clan. All went wrong for the Jacobite on 6th December in Derby 100 miles from London when an angry Bonnie Prince Charlie was persuaded to return to Scotland.

George was so knowledgeable about local history and Outlander. He went out of his way to make our day the best ever, he even added more stops to our tour. 100% recommend this tour to Outlander and history fans.

By happening or at least being told it is not happening. We booked and paid the night before and were left stranded at our hotel. We left messages and emails but no response.

We had the most wonderful time. George was the best tour guide we could wish for. He gives you more insight about the wonderful culture en nature. He takes you with him in his stories. he is funny to All together we had the best time in the highlands and we are definitely coming back for more. I liked Scotland before now I love it
