Please note: The Jacobite Steam Train is operated by another company. We cannot always guarantee that your tour and the train will meet up at the same time. This tour will visit the Glenfinnan area and the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Due to an ongoing service interruption, the Jacobite Steam Train will not pass over the viaduct until further notice.     Our first stop of the day is Callander, gateway to the Highlands. We stop here for refreshments and to enjoy the small town before we journey into the highlands.

  • Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, Stirlingshire, United Kingdom
    We will journey through the Trossachs National Park on our way to Glencoe.
  • Glencoe, Scottish Highlands, United Kingdom
    We stop for photos at Glencoe and enjoy its atmospheric surroundings. The location is infamous for the Massacre of the Clan MacDonald. Learn all about its dark history and take some beautiful photos!

    We stop in the town of Fort William for an early lunch break before we continue onwards.

  • Neptune's Staircase, Banavie, United Kingdom
    Time permitting, we'll pause for photos at Neptune's Staircase. The staircase lock comprises of eight locks on the caledonian canal, and raises the canal by 19m (62ft). It was built in the early 1800s and is the longest staircase lock in Britain.
  • Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glenfinnan, United Kingdom
    We spend plenty of time at Glenfinnan to see the monument and its Viaduct. We arrive just in time to see the Jacobite Steam train cross over the bridge; so don't forget to bring your camera for this iconic photo! Please note: The Jacobite Steam Train is operated by another company. We cannot always guarantee that your tour and the train will meet up at the same time.

  • Pitlochry, Pitlochry, United Kingdom
    Our final stop of the day is Pitlochry, a small town to the north of Edinburgh. Stop here for refreshments and enjoy wandering its small streets before we continue onwards to Edinburgh, where our tour ends. During peak months the itinerary may be run in reverse to avoid congestion at attractions and refreshment stops. When running in reverse we will pass through Pitlochry but stop at alternative location for refreshments.

Me and my friend booked this trip to see some of the Scottish highlands. The trip was well organized and our guide/driver Alan was so knowledgeble and fun! You do not feel you are rushed in any way and we made little ninja stops too because we had some leftover time. Thanks a lot for the whole team!

Beautiful view of the Scotland Highlands. I managed to take a lot of beautiful pictures bcoz the tour guide Paul gave us extra stops. I was personally happy with Paul’s time management. We started the road tour on time so we were able to avoid the crowd from other tours. Along the way, Paul was so entertaining; telling us valuable Scotland history & funny jokes. Besides that, the driver, Carlo has good driving skills. Our tour was always ahead of other tours & we still safe & sound after all the Scotland bends ????????

Another fabulous tour with Viatour!! I love this company. The tour coaches are small. The guides are knowledgeable and fun. I enjoyed seeing the Harry Potter train and all beautiful towns and scenery. Scotland is now a country I will visit again and again.
