This tour is unique in that you will be hiking (snowshoeing from November to June) about a mile starting from the visitor center at Paradise going to a picnic spot next to glaciers on Mt. Rainier. Throughout the day you will have panoramic views of the mountains and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as waterfalls, lakes, and big trees in old growth forest when we stop at highlights in Mount Rainier National Park.

    We drive to Mt. Rainier National Park (2 hours) and hike from the visitor center at Paradise for about a mile where we picnic close to some giant glaciers. We then hike back for a mile and drive to viewpoints with panoramic views and we see the Narada Falls and the Christine Falls, old growth forests with a thousand year old big trees and the Reflection Lakes. In Winter and Spring seasons (November-June) we will snowshoe rather than hiking - no experience required.

Went on the tour by myself. Mount Rainier is beautiful and snow shoeing was so much fun. Susan was a wonderful guide and our group was nice people. Great day!

Fantastic trip with Susan! I would recommend anyone even slightly interested to do it. The hike was breathtaking, even in the snow and ice. We were able to stop for pictures several times along the way. The falls we stopped at for lunch was the perfect spot. We dressed in layers and we’re never too hot or too cold. The clouds did clear up for us a bit so we could see the peak of Mt. Rainer too! Susan was very knowledgeable about the area, and she was prepared with snowshoes and walking poles for everyone in the group. I was very thankful for these. We are so glad we decided to take this trip, and I would consider doing it again if I am back in the area in the summer to see the green landscape.

J'ai passé une excellente journée de découverte avec la guide et le groupe. Susan s'est montrée parfaitement attentive à tous les détails, son itinéraire est très bien pensé. Le lunch a été préparé avec soin et ses explications tout au long de la journée ont été très enrichissante. J'ai adoré merci pour tout.
