Wonderful guide to hidden gems in central London. Our guide, Joe, told interesting stories about historical events and characters.

I was excited for this tour with my partner. The tour guide was kind, but sadly the tour itself was disappointing. It just didn't feel cohesive and it was often hard to hear the tour guide as we walked around some very busy and loud areas. On other city walking tours I've been on the guides do a good job to contextualize what you are seeing at each spot. However that was lacking here, and it just felt like walking around and randomly pointing out things. There were small nuggets of interesting information, but it didn't redeem the tour. Also the guide would show us photos on his small iphone occasionally—I think the tour would be greatly improved by giving customers ear pieces (pretty common on walking tours these days) and by printing out images such that it's easy for everyone to see and the guide isn't just digging around on their phone looking for an image.

It really does teach you things about Londons idiosyncratic buildings, architecture, and social history that even as a London resident are new to me.
