    After a lunch break continue to SEGESTA: visit the heritage of the Greeks in this singular archeological area. The Greek Temple built in the late 5th century BC. is embedded in a wonderful countryside. Higher still is the Greek Theater that offers great panoramic views. The high-stepped, semi-circular theatre opens onto a breathtaking panorama over the surrounding countryside with the sea in the distance. Back to Palermo in the afternoon.

Domenico was an excellent guide. very knowledgeable, polite and accommodating. he even lent me his jacket as the wind was strong and cold. he added a great deal to our understanding of Selinunte.
