We are a group of 5 Canadians who have travelled extensively. This tour was sold as small group max. 5 people. When we met the guide we found we were to be in a group of 16. We were on a small bus. The guide spoke very quickly in both Spanish and English leaving no time for questions about sites seen. We get off the bus on 4 occasions. The guide said you have 30 minutes go look at this or that. She never came with us to give explanation. We don’t speak or read Spanish, all signs were in Spanish we had no idea what we were seeing. Seemed like the guide was more interested in chatting with the other guides/friends at each stop. We saw some interesting sites but the tour was very lacklustre.

Es war sehr nett und die Tourleiterin sehr freundlich. Leider wurde nicht Englisch gesprochen, wie gebucht, sondern nur spanisch. Sie hat sich Mühe gegeben, langsam zu sprechen, aber manchmal war es für uns sehr schwierig, alles zu verstehen. Das anschließende Essen, das man mit buchen konnte, war ausgezeichnet.

Booked a “semi-private”, English speaking tour. My wife and I were the only two English speakers on the tour, the other 16 people on this semi-private tour were Spanish speakers. The first hour of this 5 hour tour was picking up the other 16 passengers. Our guide apologized for his voice, stating he was sick and proceeded to cough on us the entire trip. Many of the sites weren’t open due to a holiday. Would have seen more and gotten a better narrative on the Hop On- Hop Off bus for a tenth of the expense.
