We did the white water rafting as part of a tour package that included a spa package afterwards. I'd been white water rafting twice before: northern California and Wyoming. This 3rd time in Bali didn't disappoint. The one issue I had was that we weren't told in advance about the steep 600, uneven steps we had to take to get to the rafting location or the other set we had to climb back to the top once we finished. I have asthma and at the time I was recovering from a knee injury. I was a nervous wreck descending to the bottom and nearly had an asthma attack. There is nothing to hold onto and it's not all even paved steps. Some of it is just dirt. It looks like they now have an option to forgo the steps, which I recommend if you have any health issues. Once we got going though the actual rafting trip was amazing. Bali's gorgeous so you're surrounded by great scenery and our guides were the best. When we finished and had to climb the steps back to the top the guides were super patient and understanding when I had to stop and rest a few times on my way up to avoid an asthma attack. They were even kind enough to carry my gear. If you're a thrill seeker I highly recommend. Following that up with a relaxing afternoon at the spa getting a massage and other treatments was the end to a perfect day. This is a must!
