    After an early-morning pickup from your Kuta or Ubud hotel, travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the base of Mount Batur. On arrival, set out to climb the volcano by night, using flashlights to guide your way and admiring the scenery lit by moonlight. Arrive at the summit after hiking and climbing up to the highest viewpoint from which to watch the sunrise over Bali—a worthy reward for your efforts. As the sun comes up, tuck into a tasty breakfast on the mountaintop while you gaze out over the lava fields, and glittering lakes below.

This was genuinely one of the best experiences we've had in Bali. The view from the top of Mount Batur was incredible. But, what made the trek most memorable was the service from our driver, Adi and our trek guide, Madi. Both were very prompt with their response and friendly. Adi picked us up right on time from our hotel and gave us lots of helpful tips for the plans of our trip. Once we got to the meeting point, we met up with Madi and he guided us to the top of the mountain. Climbing the mountain was hard going, but Madi let us go at our own pace and got us a great view at the top. On the way back it was great talking to him about the area and getting some background of how people live day to day. On top of that he was a great photographer, which was a bonus! Once we got back, Adi drove us to a coffee plantation where we got to taste a bunch of different brews of Balinese coffee and tea. Although, it was brief, the coffee plantation was also a worthwhile detour on the way back to our hotel. All in all, we would highly recommend this company and the services of our driver, Adi and our trek guide, Madi. Fahim and Tricia (from New Zealand)
