We'll board a 4x4 that'll take us to the vicinity of Mount Batur as the sun's rays begin to greet us behind the horizon. During the sunrise, we'll enjoy a small picnic breakfast and admire the beautiful views of Lake Batur, Mount Batur, Mount Agung and Mount Rinjani in the early morning light. We'll arrive at this huge mountain formed by black lava and walk through its volcanic landscapes admiring all its beauty, cameras at the ready!

We leave at 02.00 pm and visit coffee plantation before heading into base camp. At the base we met Ketut as our Jeep driver. He was sweet and high skilled driving across black lava mt batur.

I am not early wake up person so choose sunset trek instead. Zero crowds there were the only me and the guide on the volcano. Such a nice experience with great sunset view. Guide Wayan was sportive and friendly all the way.
