If you have a spare half day in Bali and have not covered the Uluwatu Temple in your trip, this is a worthwhile half-day tour to take. Uluwatu Temple itself is a beautiful temple perched on a cliff side so the views are amazing. There are heaps of monkeys around so do be mindful of your surroundings and belongings. The Kecak Dance performance is a worthwhile show to watch and coincides with the daily sunset. Whilst the seafood dinner itself was average, to be able to experience the evening vibe on Jimaran Beach is priceless. We even got to spectate fireworks at the beach as we ate.
We were located in Nusa Dua for the duration of our stay so it was not too far from Uluwatu Temple. We commence our tour at 4 pm and returned to the hotel around 9 pm.
The highlight of the trip was the guide/driver Wayan Juli. His passion for his job and the Balinese culture is apparent. He was patient in answering all our questions and took his time to explain the Balinese culture as well as the origins of the statues around the temple. He communicates really well, speaks fluent english and is polite and reliable. I would suggest requesting him if you book this tour.
