    Manta Poin is so named as it’s one of the main dive sites in Bali where you can spot manta rays. These graceful rays are visible on almost every dives, along with spotted stingrays and nurse sharks. You can dive here all year round, however, the best time to go is usually between August and October, when visibility can be an excellent 20 metres deep. Most trips depart from Sanur and on the Bali mainland. The waters around Manta Point can get fairly cold, due to the open currents from the Indian Ocean. However, visibilty is often excellent here, allowing you to better explore and photograph the prolific marine life under the surface. Other sights to see here include occasional sea turtles, reef sharks, and the oceanic sunfish ormola-mola. At around 10 metres within the protected bay, mantas freely roam and feed in the plankton-rich waters while enjoying the symbiotic company of cleaner wrasses who rid their bodies of parasites.

At Crystal Bay you will see schools of anthias and batfish which comes around periodically. A bat cave is located nearby, there is a beautiful white sandy beach at Banjar Penida, west of Sakti village on the north western coast facing Nusa Ceningan. Crystal Bay is one of the few places in the world where one can see the awesome mola mola. One can be reasonably sure of a sighting during the season if two or three days of diving are allowed and for sure, diving with the Sunfish is an experience that you will never forget, the mola mola can reach a length of 3 metres and a weight of over 2,000 kg. They are usually found in deep and cold oceanic waters but occasionally they come inshore, in Bali between July and September.

Part of the Ramayana story in which the first is taken as Goddess Sita was abducted by King Rahvana.

Great morning snorkeling in Nusa Penida. We were collected from our hotel by a very knowledgeable driver. The process of getting to the port, then the island, and collecting the gear was seamless. The boat captain and tour guide were both excellent. Unfortunately we didn't see any manta rays due to the swell, but the rest of the snorkeling was still very enjoyable. On the way back, the driver was very accommodating. Overall a five star experience.

The snorkeling was incredible. The mantas come so close to you. And I’ve never seen such beautiful coral. I picked this tour because I just wanted to do the snorkeling, not an island drive (and I’m glad I did.) It was about 7 hours door-to-door (with the rx stop). Overall, the customer experience was great. They were really responsive and communicative in advance. They picked me up at my hotel, even though it wasn’t on the list. The driver, Budi, was so nice. He got there early and on the way back to the hotel, he even took me to a pharmacy to get medicine. My snorkeling guide, Jim, was also very friendly. And the GoPro film and video is a really nice touch. The only hiccup was I had a long wait at the ferry terminal on the way out because the person was having trouble getting the tickets. But things happen. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in snorkeling!
