If you enjoy a fast and flowing track then this ride is for you. We start with an early transfer from your hotel to the higher regions of the island, the volcanic core of the island. For here we will start riding mostly downhill on the slopes of the volcanoes from 1,600m above sea level all the way back down to the lower grounds. The scenery will simply take your breath away. We will ride through some of the most beautiful parts of the island. There is no doubt about it. This is one of Bali's ultimate trail rides :) We are not going to sugar coat it for this one, this trip might be challenging for some.  It’s a ride designed by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. Having previous off road experience is a must. We don’t do anything crazy such as big drops or extreme downhill stuff but it’s a sweet and fun pure trail ride.     If you enjoy fast and flowing single and double track and amazing scenery then this ride is for you. We start with an early transfer from your hotel to the higher regions of the island, the volcanic core of the island. The first section is mostly downhill as we start at 1,600m above sea level and ride back all the way back down to the lower grounds. The second part of the ride is more XC orientated through the rice paddy fields. The scenery will simply take your breath away. This ride is the next step up from our Mount Batur to Ubud Off-Road. Nothing crazy such as must-take jumps, big drops, or extreme downhill stuff but it's a sweet and fun pure trail ride. If you are looking for more technical riding then our 'Secret Single Track' and 'Bali Downhill' rides might be a better fit though.

Not a boring ride. Glad we had top notch suspension bikes to navigate the single track and rocky spots. We were able to see quite a bit of different terrain along with Mt Batur, rice paddies, temples, local villages and amazing views. Pretty great day overall and highly recommend if you are looking for some small adventure on bikes without training wheels.

I took a Volkano trail tour which is described as advanced. And I really had fun because I've done some MTB before. Most part of the trail is perfectly safe and on some parts you can really go fast and get your portion of adrenaline if you want. If you are not so confident with your skills though, you can just go slow and you will be fine. There is a tricky part of the track which is about 100 meters long. You can walk your bike through it, not worth risking if you're not a professional. I loved the whole experience, it's really the best thing I've done at Bali. The guide has a really good bike skills. He showed us a lot of interesting things, guided us through the tricky sections so we felt perfectly safe. The views along the trail are amazing. Bring a surgical mask with you if you're taking Volkano trail, it will really help during the first 30% of the trail.

From the 07.15 pickup from our hotel in Nusa Dua by our driver to the interesting drive up to Lake Batur, we had an awesome day out. The first part of the Volcano Trail is on slippery volcanic sand making for a fun downhill. Best for experienced riders even though our 11 year old daughter managed it fine. Great buffet lunch overlooking Mt. Agung and the rice paddies before a gentle last 10kms through the jungle and fields to the end. Our guide Rudi was great, attentive and interesting. We'll be back!
