Tried out this newest of Ransack's local Singapore puzzle hunts, around Sentosa Island's Fort Siloso (they have some other older locations). With only maybe two months on it, I suspect there is still some tweaking ahead with one stage/location, but everyone was polite and accomodating about it and I suspect it will get fixed soon.
That out of the way, the pre-teen who did most of the puzzles said it was an "excellent" experience, and the parents agree. Was nice to explore Siloso as part of the hunt, though don't expect time to read all the exhibits : we will be back! Clues and puzzles are not too hard (listen and read the instructions), though this is ranked by the organisers as "hard" so some hunt experience would probably be advisable (or try a simpler one first). Expect some climbing stairs and scrambling through old bunker tunnels so dress comfortably and bring water (it's humid, though there are airconditioned respites). Coins for the vending machines for cold canned drinks would be useful. OK for smaller kids too but someone has to keep them engaged sometimes while you are reading/solving.
Booklet and materials provided were high quality, and logistics and admin were responsive and flexible to last-minute circumstances - special mention to Glenda who was patient and friendly as an on-site greet-and-help.
All in, well-put together and shows promise. Will be trying another of their puzzles in the future.
