Meet your friendly staff at your preferred meetup point and hop onto the comfortable tour van/coach with other travelers as you head off to Mount Serorak first. After the briefing, venture into the mountain and find the hidden treasures! Mount Seorak is known for its scenic natural terrain views, beautiful streams. After that, head to Naksansa Temple to feel some inner peace while catching the beautiful sea view. The temple also offers an incredible insight into the life of Korean Buddhists and stunning views of the tranquil lotus pond. After your journey, enjoy a hassle-free ride back to Seoul at 4:20pm and may take 2.5-3hrs for the returning ride. Hotel pickup and drop-off is NOT included: there will be 3 train stations you can meet at.

This trip was absolutely spectacular for anyone looking to get a day outside of Seoul, and head into nature for a little bit. Our tour guide, Mia, was wonderful and walked us through all possible options for what we could do for the day. For those who enjoy hiking there were a few different trails available that could be done easily within the timeframe we had. For those less inclined towards that kind of thing, there was still plenty to do! The cable cars up to the top of the mountain offer spectacular views and there is a large temple within easy walking distance. Naksansa temple then gives you more incredible views, with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. I know some many be wary of a long bus ride, but with well timed rest stops and picturesque scenery this was a great way to take in more of Korea. The bus was comfortable, relaxing for both people who want to watch the world go by, or those who would rather get some rest. I would highly recommend !

Our tour of Mt. Seorak and Naksansa Temple with Ktourstory was enjoyable. The approx. 2.5 hour drive from Seoul (a roughly 5 hour drive roundtrip) meant that we had 3.5 hours at Mt. Seorak. This is perfect for people who only have limited time to visit some of the natural landscapes Korea has to offer. (If your goal is to explore the considerable selection of trails available, a stay in the area is necessary.) The cable car provided picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and the Buddha statue. At the top, the short but steep trail provides breathtaking views from the cliffs. Our guide, Mia, was kind enough to brief us on which trails were appropriate for our time. Ever kind, helpful, informative, and positive, she constantly offered to take pictures and provide additional information that helped maximize our time at both stops. The time spent at Naksansa Temple was sufficient with beautiful views of the surrounding sea as well as enough time leftover for a short walk on the beach.
