Gyeongbokgung, the oldest palace of the Joseon Dynasty, is located at the northern end of Seojong-ro Street. On its grounds stands the National Folk Museum of Korea, where visitors can browse the unique cultural and historical traits of Korea and the lifestyle of bygone days.

We had a slight hiccup with times first up but that was easily fixed. We met our tour guide Gabby in the lobby of our hotel and she was so warm and friendly! It was just my Dad and I on the tour so with it just being us, Dad was able to ask ALL the questions he could think of. We were both really impressed with Gabby’s knowledge and her English was really good! Gabby took her time to explain things to us and also didn’t rush us through. My Dad has bad knees from an old sporting injury so isn’t the fastest walker but Gabby didn’t mind and was happy to slow the pace a bit. We got to see all the main palaces and shrines and a couple of the key shopping places. We really enjoyed our day out with Gabby and highly recommend this tour! If you can ask for Gabby, she is a wealth of knowledge!
