  • Manasija Monastery, Despotovac, Serbia
    You will be impressed by the beautiful scenery, while you enjoy 1.5-hour drive to our first stop – Manasija Monastery, located among the green hills of the vivid Resava gorge. It was built in early 15th century during the reign of Despot Stefan Lazarevic. The whole complex is surrounded by 12 towers, constructed in order to protect Church of Saint Trinity from the Ottomans. The Manasija monastery fortification, with its ramparts and towers, is the best preserved fortification complex on the territory of medieval Serbia. Due to its fresco paintings, which represent one of the greatest achievements of the medieval Serbian art, monastery is believed to be a real jewel of Serbian medieval culture.

  • Resavska Cave, Despotovac, Serbia
    The tour proceeds to 80-million-year-old cave called Resava, which was discovered by local shepherd in 1962. Ten years later, the cave was opened for the audience for the first time. Nowadays this is one of the most visited caves in this part of Europe due to its richness of cave jewelry: stalagmites and stalactites. Total length of the tunnels is 4.5 km. So far a bit more than 2 km were explored, and 800 m is accessible to visitors. The temperature in the Resava cave is a constant 7°C all year round, with air humidity varying between 80 and 100%. The tour around the cave will last for 40 minutes, so wearing warm clothes is recommended.

    Krupaj Spring, located 30km from Lisine Waterfall, on the west side of Beljanica Mount. is next on our route. It belongs to the group of karst springs and represents one of the most beautiful springs in Eastern Europe. Turquoise water of Krupaj Spring will leave you completely breathless.

We did two tours with this agency. The other at Tara National Park. Both tours are extraordinary but especially when you have an extraordinary guide. We had Nina who regaled us with lots of stories but she was extremely knowledgeable as well. Totally recommend this tour as well as the one to Tara National Park.

Jelena var en kunnig och engagerad guide. På resan fick vi se den serbiska landsbygden, mycket information om landet och en massa bra tips till oss som turister. På utflykten åkte vi till en kyrka och fick även vara med på deras kyrkkaffe, vilket var lite annorlunda än i Sverige, men väldigt trevligt. Sedan besökte vi en grotta med fantastiska rum. Måste vara spännande för yngre barn. Sedan besökte vi ett vattenfall och ett vackert friluftsområde. En trevlig dag och ska man stanna i Belgrad några dagar är det bra att ta turen så tidigt som möjligt då man får med sig många bra tips.

We had a fantastic time on the tour today. Tour start was at 8:10 with pickup right from our hotel. This was on time and our guide Jelena and driver Bogdan welcomed us. The tour group was small, just 6 people including us, and this was perfect. Jelena was friendly and fun and very knowledgeable. She gave us many interesting facts and stories throughout the day and could always answer our questions. The 4 destinations where we stopped were all interesting and beautiful. Our favourite was visiting with the priest and townspeople after the church service (this was on a Sunday so doesn't happen every day). Although the tour was all day, we didn't have to drive for very long between the places we visited. We would highly recommend this tour and will gladly do another adventure with Serbia Inspired tours.
