Discover the Royal Alcazar of Seville, declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. You will be amazed by its magnificience and magniture. You will also recognize some spots, because of the shooting of the famous series “Game of Thrones”. The origin of the Real Alcazar of Seville dates from the time of the High Middle Ages, although some areas of Islamic art that impress with its delicacy are preserved. In any case, Mudejar art and Gothic style predominate, but Renaissance and Baroque elements were added later. Over the centuries, it has been the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville. Even today, it remains for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits. This complex includes many wonderful features. The quaintest is the Patio de las Doncellas, with its ponds that reflect the intricate mudéjar plasterwork for which this palace is known for. Really enjoyed our deeply informative tour with our guide who was excellent. He knew the detail and gave us what we needed without too much. He brought passion, humour and understanding to this bit of controversial Spanish history. The meeting place was a bit of a Zoo with muliple tours and guides so you had to keep your wits about you. The operator should make it clear as to what ID you need as we took passports but I gather unlike the Alhambra, you dont really need your physical passport as photos or drivers licenses would have done( I think!) Please give greater clarity. We had one couple that struggled to get in I gather due to some administrative oversite and this held us up for 15 minutes

Hello. 19 Casco Antiguo in Seville was set up to get tickets to the Alcazar, 800 metres from where the taxis stop. That is 1600 meters round trip in the heat in the middle of a considerable crowd. The Casco Antiguo is a small pedestrian street full of crowds where cars cannot get to. We were exhausted before we even started visiting. NOW the arrival of the taxi is fifty meters from the entrance of the Alcazar!!!

Fabulous sight to visit! Beautiful gardens! Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We moved at a comfortable pace.
