    In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.

We took a day trip down from Anchorage to do the Resurrection Bay Tour in April. I was impressed by the value of the boat tour. Captain Mark did an excellent job describing the local geology and wildlife and the deck crew was also spectacular. Also, KFT went above and beyond by sending me the wallet I lost in town. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing tour. We went on the late morning tour. They fed you lunch when you got on the boat. It was yummy. The bad part about that was when we went into open ocean, it got very choppy. Some people were getting sick. I felt a little queasy but had taken non drowsy Dramamine. I would highly recommend this just in case. It also may be wise not to eat your lunch until later in the boat ride. The boat was nice and spacious with comfortable seating. We got there early and got good seats. The whole trip was just absolutely beautiful. The glaciers and the fjords are incredible sights to behold. The wildlife we saw in early June was probably my favorite part. We saw baby orcas, sea lions, seals, puffins, a humpback whale, and otters. It was a trip to remember!

A like long but spectacular day. Saw tons of wildlife and the scenery was stunning we were there aug 21.
