Your 2,5 -hour walking tour starts from the Catalani Church, an example of Arab-Norman style. Then you will continue to the City Hall, the biggest palace ever rebuilt after the earthquake of 1908. The Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, located in Antonello Square, is the second one in Southern Italy. An highlight of the tour is the Cathedral Square, with its the beautiful bell tower which was built between 1930 and 1933. The tour will end at the Museum of the Sicilian Puppet Theater, an exhibition of the priceless collection of Gargano Family.

This was a lovely tour taking in the history of the port including entrance to Duomo di Messina And the tower display at the Piazza Duomo which happens at 12 noon. The display is about 10 minutes long and shows all the moving parts of the tower including a crowing cockerel and a roaring lion which we were not expecting to hear as well as see the display, all very fascinating and impressive considering when the tower was built (although I would assume there was no noise at that time). The tour was completed with a look inside the oldest church and then a choice of cannoli or iced lemon.

Guida super preparata e simpaticissima, abbiamo fatto un bellissimo walking tuor scoprendo molte curiosità ed imparando molte cose sulla città! consigliatissimo!!!!!!!! anche la degustazione dei cannoli top!

She walked us all the way the dock a long way giving us history. We did not not need to walk the entire dock! Once in town it was pleasant.
