The Valley of the Temples is one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture, and is one of the main attractions of Sicily as well as a national monument of Italy. The area was included in the UNESCO Heritage Site list in 1997. The archaeological park and landscape of the Valley of the Temples is the largest archaeological site in the world with 1,300 hectares, but the term 'valley' is a misnomer, the site being located on a ridge outside the town of Agrigento. While our tour guide was pleasant and well informed, but unfortunately she was unable to translate that into a interesting story that could engage our group. Language might’ve also been part of the problem.

The archaeological site was spectacular! The guide experience was not what we expected ….. the guide appeared to be rushed.

This is a must when you go to Sicily!!! I loved walking and being able to take pictures and make memories in this place, Thankful for the privilege of being able to be there and hear the story behind the well preserved Temples! I just hope everyone is able to see it!!!! Beautiful experience, great tour guide also was a plus!!!!
