Just spent the day touring Taormina and Castelmola. Michele was great. Met us at the ship , drove us to the sights and did a wonderful job of explaining the highlights of this beautiful part of Sicily. He directed us to a great place for cannoli and brought us safely back to our ship. Great day.

First off, the meeting point was incredibly difficult to find. They said it was an intersection, but it’s not two roads, it’s a road and an alley. We walked all over the place trying to find this point, we asked locals and port officials for help and they couldn’t make sense of the directions we were given either. The only way to contact the guide was by email so it was very slow getting a response and whomever was responding to me was pretty rude and shaming about us not being able to find the group instead of helping us locate them. Finally we did meet up and our guide was very kind about our tardiness. Our guide, Salvatore, was very informative and friendly. Taormina was gorgeous and we had lots of free time.
