The tour operator cancelled the morning of and didn’t answer my calls while I was waiting. Eventually I saw an email from Viator that I’m getting a full refund. I was disappointed that nobody called me to explain.

The drivers were efficient and timely. Left to our own devices once we reached the dextinatoons. Wild windy weather at Cefalu. Exceptional and spectacular mosiacs at monreal. Such great architecture and scenery

Die Kathedralen in Monreale und Cefalù sind Sehenswert und es lohnt sich auf jedem Fall diese Prachtwerke zu besichtigen. Die Bewertung betrifft eher die Ausflugsorganisation. Wir haben den Ausflug Anfang August 2022 gemacht. Am Abend davor ab 17 Uhr war der Organisator per WhatsApp nicht mehr erreichbar, so dass wir die Fragen zur Abholung vom Hotel nicht klären konnten und schließlich mit dem Taxi zum Startpunkt am Morgen angereist sind. Es gibt keinen Reiseführer dabei. Sowohl während dem Fahrt als auch in Monreale und Cefalù wurde kaum etwas erklärt. Angekommen um 8:45 wurden wir vor der Kathedrale in Monreale für 1,5 Stunden gelassen. Vor Ort kann man für 10€ pro Person die Eintrittskarten und für 5€ ein Audioguide besorgen und die Kathedrale besuchen. Dann wurden wir abgeholt und nach Cefalù gebracht mit einem Zwischenstopp zum Fotografieren. Gegen Mittag wurden wir in Cefalù nah am Hafen gelassen und durften selbst zur Kathedrale laufen. Um 13 Uhr wird die Kathedrale für die Mittagspause geschlossen. Wir haben die Kathedrale nur von Außen betrachtet und für 10€ pro Person ein Mini-Zug in der Stadt genommen, der durch Cefalù einen interessanten Tour mit Erklärungen getan hat. Für 4 Personen haben wir für den Ausflug ca. 260€ bezahlt. Das Transportieren ohne Guide und Eintrittskarten hätte ich Günstiger geschätzt.
