If you decide to see sunrise at ANGKOR WAT and we’ll leave from the hotel at 4:50 am, but the sunrise is not included on this tour if you would like to do let us know, and meeting point in the hotel lobby and then we heading to ticket office to buy your temples pass.     The most beautiful, pink sandstone temple with detailed caving. Its 35 kilometers away from grand tour site. Because of its delicate carvings Banteay Srei is also known as “Lady Temple”. You can stop mid-way to see locals making the natural sugar products from the sugar palm. Maybe you have never seen this before so take the opportunity while in this in this area.

  • Phnom Kulen National Park, Cambodia
    KULEN MOUNTAIN is almost an hour a half away by car. You can swim at the waterfall (ask your hotel if you can borrow a towel) if you want to swim. Kulen is a famous attraction, popular with locals as well as visitors. A Trekking Tour is possible. The mountain has a few temples which were built in 802 AD, before the Angkor era, which you will see. Waterfall Holy River-Lingam and Yoni Reclining Buddha Hindu Worship Ocean Rock Creek of Rock and view.

    his temple is quite different to other temple sites. It has not been repaired and you can see how it looked when discovered. See how the jungle took over, causing the temple to collapse. Wander around the ruins, find a quiet place to contemplate the history. Many photo opportunities for you. This temple is in the remote in the countryside and many tress grow on the stones as the second tomb raider at Ta Promh temple also.

The Kulen mountains and Boeng Mealea are not on the typical trip to Siem Reap but I highly recommend taking the time to visit these places. We were a team of volunteers from the National Museum of Bangkok visiting Khmer sites and we had an excellent visit with Mr. K and his team.

Kulen Mountain, located about 50 kilometers from Siem Reap, Cambodia, is a historically significant and picturesque destination. Known as the birthplace of the Khmer Empire, it was here that King Jayavarman II declared himself the first god-king of the Angkorian era in the 9th century. The mountain is home to ancient ruins, sacred sites like the giant reclining Buddha, and the famed River of a Thousand Lingas, where intricately carved stone sculptures lie beneath the flowing water. The Kulen waterfall, a highlight for visitors, features two tiers of cascading water surrounded by lush jungle, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and swimming. Kulen Mountain is not only a natural wonder but also a spiritual and cultural landmark, attracting locals and tourists alike for its beauty, history, and religious significance.
