Join a group tour to uncover the special religious significance and the natural beauty of Phnom Kulen Mountain, Cambodia’s most sacred mountain, located 50 km north of Siem Reap city.  Learn why the site serves as a place of pilgrimage to both Hindus and Buddhists by visiting the temple of the Reclining Buddha on top of the big rock, the River of 1000 Lingas and the fabulous Phnom Kulen Waterfalls.

Departure at 8:30 am but please ready in the hotel lobby from 7:30 am and ready to go as soon as your guide arrive before 8:30 am.

  • Phnom Kulen Waterfall, Siem Reap, Cambodia
    Tour departs at 8:30 am and the guide pick up from 7:30 am to 8:30 am from your hotel lobby, then heading north towards Kulen Mountain through approximately a 2-hour drive in an air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy the scenic ride along the way as you pass through local villages and verdant tropical forest. You will visit Cambodia’s biggest Reclining Buddha carved on sandstone. The temple is located on top of the hill and can be reached through a flight of steps. Next you will set off to the sacred river of 1000 Lingas. The riverbed is interestingly carved with numerous Lingas, a phallic symbol of the Hindu god, Shiva. You will also see some rock carvings along the river depicting Hindu deities. You will continue through another sacred site, the Phnom Kulen Waterfalls. Calm your senses by watching the waterfall tumbling down the rocks. You will have time to wade in its basin and opt to cool-off from the midday sun by swimming on its pool.

Our tour guide was Voath and he was amazing!! He really took the time to teach us about the different areas of the tour. He was so knowledgeable. I prefer taking a tour like this rather than going alone so that I can really learn about the culture and location through the tour guide. The tours also come with an air conditioned ride and you’ll def need it going up to Phnom Kulen. It was cool to venture out of the main city and up the mountain to see the waterfall and river, it’s a must visit! Bring some cash to buy some local handmade items along the way.

Visite très bien organisée, Nak (le guide) et Jame Bond 009 (Le chauffeur) étaient très sympathiques et serviables. Véhicule très propre et climatisé et Eau fraîche à chaque étapes. Bonnes explications de la part du guide.

Booked the tour via getyourguide, we were very satisfied with the organization, the service (they provided us with cold wet towels to refresh yourself several times) as well as the guide, Voath who was very friendly and competent.
