Sok was a wonderful guide, sharing his knowledge and perspectives as well as finding delicious food suited to our tastes. No crickets for me but my husband loved them! He also took me to a shop to buy silk yarn which I hadn’t been able to accomplish during my 2 weeks in SE Asia. A fun night!

We had a great time tasting all sorts of things on our tour! We walked the markets and delved into the culture of Cambodia! So different from what we are used to but loved every minute of it! Have you tried fried silk worms?? We did!! And we were surprised at how much we liked them!! Yep!! We really did!!! Just do it! You’ll be happy you did!! Great afternoon!

Our guide, Nil, picked us up from our hotel in a tuk tuk, then we were driven to two different night markets and one cafe/shop. We tried and tasted so many different delicious things! Fruits plucked straight of baskets, fried insects, sweets, liqueurs, biscuits, and then a tapas style dinner of savoury pancakes, fish cakes, fried coconut balls, and curried noodle soup. Nil was a fountain of knowledge and we really enjoyed spending time with her and hearing about Khmer food and culture! She was personable, spoke excellent English and her engaging conversation made the tour special. A must-do on your first night in Siem Reap!
