On the tour, travel by 4x4 vehicle along trails that date back over a thousand years, from the time of the Arabs, towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. Reach an elevation of 2500 meters-8000 feet, for amazing views of the highest peaks in the Iberian peninsula, and enjoy a drink in a panoramic mountain hut. Explore the north face of the Sierra Nevadas to see the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula, climbing to heights of more than 3,000 meters, including the highest peak in the Iberian peninsula, Mulhacen which is named after one of the last kings of the Alhambra. Learn about the geology, biology and history of this region where Arabs, and Visigoths lived. Finally, visit a mountain hut where you can enjoy a typical Andalusian meal (costs not included).

Great value and amazing experience. Our guide was excellent and gave insight into the places we visited. Winding narrow roads climbing to the snow line, with short hikes along the way to stretch legs and get up close to the sites where we stopped. We loved this day. Take clothes that can cope with cool windy as well as warm sunny conditions.

It was an extremely pleasant tour, the landscapes where the guide took us were wonderful, we were able to meet even wild animals of the Serra Nevada. Also our guide Daud was nice and competent, made us feel comfortable. Everything matches the description provided.

We loved the experience. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Group size was just perfect. The itinerary was nicely balanced and included low altitude scenery, high altitude scenery, farmlands and countryside. Informative content was just right. There were enough stops to rest.
