Enjoy a memorable boat trip to the renowned Similan Islands; a stunning archipelago in the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand, which is made up of 9 islands. This is one of the best-known island groups in this area, and its fame is heavily due to having some of the most spectacular coral reefs in the world. When you first come to these islands, you will see huge boulders sitting on the shores on several of the islands, and these create a distinctive feature for this area. The beaches are snow white, with soft sand, and are perfect for enjoying a lunch picnic or just relaxing. You can often enjoy a deserted beach just to yourselves here. Beneath the incredibly clear turquoise waters, you can discover a plethora of beautiful coral reefs and unique marine life such as whales, dolphins, and Moray eels. The coral and marine life are so rich in the Similan islands, that there are said to be about 500 species of hard and soft coral here.

  • Similan Islands National Park, Thailand
    Appreciate the scenery as you make your way to your first snorkeling spot at Koh Miang, Island No. 4. With clear waters, healthy coral, and plentiful fish, this island is perfect for the beginner and experienced snorkeler. Depart for Koh Payu, the Island No. 7, which is ideal for snorkeling at the East of Eden with a reef slope that ranges from 5 to 40 meters. Then make your way to the waters of Christmas Point at Koh Bangu, the Island No. 9, for one more snorkeling opportunity with massive coral heads in The Mooring, and Snapper Alley for Asian snapper living among the giant rocks. The last stop is at the tranquil waters of Donald Duck Bay on Koh Similan, Island No. 8. Here you can relax on the beach or hike to the island's viewpoint at Sailing Rock before heading back to the pier where a light snack with fresh fruits and drinks is awaiting you.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

I am sooo glad we went with 5 Star Marine. The entire package was FANTASTIC. Communication from the start was prompt, easy and great. They were very clear that it could be bumpy when we booked our tour and suggested alternative options if we were not keen on the long ride. I took my 3 children, ages 10, 15 and 18 to the Similan Islands. Our guide, K Nook was lovely and the 3 additional crew, K.Max, William and one more lovey man were friendly, helpful and easy going. We blasted our tunes on the long but fun journey there. We snorkeled, hiked up to Sail rock, visited another island where we ate lunch, swam and snorkeled more. 5 Star Marine has good quality snorkeling equipment and K. Nook took many pictures of our family in action under water and shared them all. They had a cooler on board where you can store additional food and snacks if needed. The boat was great! It was expensive day out however we enjoyed EVERY moment and I have already recommended 5 Star Marine to a friend who has family visiting soon. I HIGHLY recommend this company and will defiantly book them again for future trips.

We booked a private tour to the Similon islands for our family of six, and it was fantastic. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we booked another private tour the next day for the Phi Phi islands. P, out tour guide for the Similons was great, as was Ning our guide for Phi Phi. I can’t remember our captain’s name, but we had the same captain for both trips and he was fantastic at guiding the boat through the sometimes choppy conditions smoothly. The picnic lunch was good, and they were able to help us see the most popular spots without the swarms of tourists from the larger tour groups. We did take a tour with one of the larger groups to the Surin islands prior to our trips with 5-Star marine, and it was a night and day difference. The large group was a nightmare. For any future trips to Phuket, we will only do tours through 5-Star Marine. Also, booking through 5-Star directly for our second tour with them was much cheaper, so I suggest you contact them directly.

Absolutely the best tour we did this holiday. We were a family group of 6 adults and had already done the Phi Phi tour with this company so knew the experience would be great. However this day even surpassed that. The islands are incredible to see, we climbed to the top of one and the views were amazing. The sea is crystal clear we have never seen so many fish while snorkelling in the bays and we swam with the turtles. One of the crew swam with us and took us to the best places to see the fish pointing them out to us all the time. So helpful and friendly they could not do more to improve our day. Nothing was too much trouble.
