    City Palace, Udaipur, is a palace complex situated in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. It was built over a period of nearly 400 years, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Its construction began in 1553, started by Maharana Udai Sing City Palace in Udaipur was built in a flamboyant style and is considered the largest of its type in the state of Rajasthan. It was built atop a hill, in a fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, providing a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings.

The tour guide, Vikram Singh was really good, informative and friendly The views from the palace were amazing, and the entire process- from start to end was very smooth Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the City Palace

Ein beeindruckendes Bauwerk, ein Muss wenn man in Udaipur ist. Zeigt die Macht und die kulturelle Entfaltung der Maharanas. Hatte keine Lust auf die überorganisierten Touristentouren. Einfach ein Taxi kommen lassen, der Fahrer fuhr mich dann zuverlässig zum Palast, zu einem (halb so teuren als im Palast) Shop, zu einem reizenden Restaurant und zurück. 4 Stunden Service für 1.300 Rp. Unten beim Zugang zum Palast, neben der Strasse habe ich ein Ticket für 330 Rp gelöst, und oben, an der Palastpforte, einen Guide für 500 Rp engagiert, der in recht verständlichem Englisch eine 90 Minuten Führung machte. Französisch könne er auch, meinte er, und es gäbe auch Kollegen die andere Sprachen sprechen. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Ausflug
