The Sky Tower experience is worth the money spent. I recommend not booking with Trip Advisor as I booked for the wrong day and when I tried to cancel or rebook for the correct day, Trip Advisors website said I had nothing booked! Luckily, the Sky Tower staff allowed me to go the day I was in Auckland as long as they could see the QR code. Great experience with staff.

If you are staying in Auckland and have time in the city, then yes the Sky Tower is worth visiting. I booked through Viator in advance and had no issues with my ticket the day of. Getting in the tower, elevator, and walking around didn't feel very crowded. You get great views of the city and surrounding area. For those that are adventurous, you can walk the outside or jump off the building or watch from the safety inside.
