We had an absolutely fabulous time on this tour. Gill was our guide and driver and was so knowledgable, fun and friendly. There was a fantastic part where we went off-roading with the 4x4 roof off to reach the wine villa which we were not expecting and was so much fun. The scenery was just stunning as well, we’d driven around Madeira a lot before this tour but saw so much more because of it. The wine was almost a sideshow but still a very interesting tour of the vineyard and we got to try 6 wines all of which were lovely. Selling them to us was not brought up at all, others bought some but there was no pressure whatsoever. Cannot recommend this enough when you are in Madeira, the best thing we did on holiday by a country mile.

We were very well looked after by Diogo Camacho, who’s infectious enthusiasm and knowledgable commentary made this trip highly enjoyable. His driving skills are excellent! At the vineyard the tour was interesting and relevant to the wines we tried. The view from the winery was incredible, and the wines tasty! Remember to bring a warm-ish jacket for the mountains and a picnic/snacks if you are hungry - small snacks are provided at the wine tasting.

Der Ausflug war wahnsinnig toll. Unser Guide Diogo Camacho hat uns sicher über die Insel und die Off-Road-Strecke gefahren. Er hat uns mit vielen interessanten Informationen über die Insel versorgt während der Fahrt. Wir hatten eine Menge Spaß und würden die Tour jederzeit wieder buchen.
