Ever interested in how people survive and live their life in slums? This walk is organised by Pete For India Travel to support a sister concern NGO and registered non-profit organization called PETE India (Providing Education to Everyone).80% of the proceeds go to support our projects. Participants will accompany a guide through the maze of small streets and alleys slum in West Delhi for 2 hours. He will show you how millions of people live their lives in the slums of Delhi each day. While in the slum, you'll have the opportunity (if you wish) to have traditional tea with a family during which they can share their personal story of survival and life in the slums. You will visit the 5 Centres that Money from the tour directly support and meet the students and teachers.The aim of this walk is not to "visit" or make poverty a "tourist attraction", but is to exchange experiences with people, allowing the locals a rare opportunity to interact with foreigners if they wish.

It was so nice, like I saw how people in Slum are living and talked some kids. People are so kind and kids are energetic.A young guy who was guide was so kind and gave me much information about slum. I recommend it if you want to feel slum.

Der Rundgang durch die Slums von Delhi ist sehr zu empfehlen. Eine Erfahrung, die ich nie wieder vergessen werde und die Werteansicht eines Europäers in ein ganz anderes Licht rücken lässt. Wir haben das echte Leben in Delhi kennen gelernt und wurden anschließend auf eine Tasse Tee bei der Familie unseres Guides eingeladen.Wir haben uns zu jedem Zeitpunkt sehr sicher und Willkommen gefühlt. Vielen Dank für diese einzigartige Erfahrung, die problemlosen Absprachen und das Teilen eurer Traditionen. P.S. Die Kinder in den Slums freuen sich über Süßigkeiten. Am besten einzeln verpackte Bonbons etc. kaufen, da es sehr viele Kinder sind.
