    Night tour :  We are characterize for having a great Personalized service, we will start the tour as soon as it's dark enough( 5:30pm)  to be able to enjoy and discover how different the forest is at night. As we are walking through the trails the guide will be finding, pointing, teaching and showing you where and how to find wildlife.  The guide is carrying a powerful spotting scope to be able to appreciate way better the Flora and Fauna as well as to take picture with your cellphones through the scope.

Our night walk at the Monteverde Wildlife Refuge with Jason was fantastic! ???????? He’s a very knowledgeable guide who helped us see so many animals: a sloth, viper, scorpion, monkeys, frogs, tarantulas, and more! ???????????????? Walking through the forest at night was safe, exciting, and full of surprises. Highly recommend this tour — and Jason! ????✨ ⸻ ¡El tour nocturno en el Refugio de Vida Silvestre con Jason fue fantástico! ???????? Es un guía con mucho conocimiento. Vimos un perezoso, víbora, escorpión, monos, ranas, tarántulas y más. ???????????????? Caminar por el bosque de noche fue seguro, emocionante y lleno de sorpresas. ¡Recomendadísimo, especialmente con Jason! ????✨

Oscar was an amazing guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and found some great animals. We saw: armadillo, mouse opossum, 3 side striped vipers, glass frog and egg sack, toucan, quetzal, hummingbird, translucent winged butterfly, giant stick bug and scorpions!

Disappointing overall. The guide was nice, but the tour was not very good. I studied wildlife biology and spend more days afield than most people and was really excited for this to be a highlight of our trip, but instead left disappointed. I have been to Costa Rica multiple times so know what to expect in a tour. Animals are unpredictable but you will see much less at this place as it basically walks you around an area that they call a refuge, but really it is few acres adjacent to civilization with dogs barking, car noise, light pollution, etc. They cram a bunch of different group into the small acreage so you are constantly passing other groups, which limits animal contact with that many folks walking around and being loud in the woods. We didn't receive much info on what makes Monteverde unique, which should have been a focus since we are in one of the worlds only cloud rainforests. Flashlights were very low powered so you couldn't really spot much. You will see bugs and maybe a few sleeping birds, but likely not much else. I would save your money or just go alone. Nothing special at all.
