    Night tour :  We are characterize for having a great Personalized service, we will start the tour as soon as it's dark enough( 5:30pm)  to be able to enjoy and discover how different the forest is at night. As we are walking through the trails the guide will be finding, pointing, teaching and showing you where and how to find wildlife.  The guide is carrying a powerful spotting scope to be able to appreciate way better the Flora and Fauna as well as to take picture with your cellphones through the scope.

Our family of six, two adults and four kids ages 8-16 did the night hike and had a great time. Brian was our guide and we were amazed at his ability to spot animals in the dark. We had hoped to see some frogs and he was able to find a tiny pygmy frog right away. Later we also got a great view of a red-eyed stream frog. Other highlights were the click beetle, green vine snake, sleeping hummingbird and sleeping trogon. The guides work together and report what they are finding, and we appreciated this as it provided more eyes to help find things in the dark and allowed us to continually be seeing wildlife throughout the tour. Overall we had a very fun time and would recommend this activity if you are in the Monteverde area.

Our guide (Oscar of Nasua) was amazing. His knowledge, energy, love of nature and the local wildlife and culture created a very special atmosphere and experience.

Our whole family (two adults and two tweens) really enjoyed this night tour. It is located on a private reserve in Monteverde; be aware that there is an admission fee onsite in addition to the tour cost. Because it was dark, it was hard to tell for sure, but the reserve seemed to be fairly small; nevertheless, we saw an impressive variety of animals. There were quite a few other tours happening in the same space at the same time and it occasionally felt a bit crowded, but the guides did an impressive job of sharing their discoveries so that all of the visitors got to see as many animals as possible. Our guide, in particular, was engaging and knowledgeable and did a good job of keeping all of us engaged and excited. Things to know: - It’s nighttime in a cloud forest; wear long pants and sleeves or strong insect repellent unless you want to leave with lots of itchy souvenirs! - Hiking shoes or athletic are a must. Some of the terrain is steep and uneven. - There are nice restrooms and handwashing stations on site, plus a small gift shop. - The reserve is near houses and other establishments. We could hear live music playing nearby throughout our entire tour. It wasn’t unpleasant, but also wasn’t the remote cloud forest ambience we expected. This is a great way to see a wide variety of animals in a short time without having to venture outside of Monteverde.
