I checked out this tour on a whim, I am Londoner and I don’t have car and to get to places in the Cotswold, you need a car. I chose this tour over others because it concentrated on just ‘The Cotswold’ and it gives you to time to absorb and take in the beauty of each location. The time spent didn’t seem rushed. The pick location was fantastic, not far from the South Kensington Tube.
The coach was a nice size of 16 people and so it was quite cosy and it was easy for the minibus manoeuvre on the small and winding country lanes. The seats were comfortable enough for the journey which was not that long. Also, each seat has a charging port to charge your phones throughout the day.
Our tour guide Christian was lovely chap. He very good, funny, he also engaged with us tourists and made the trip fun. He was also very knowledgeable on the history of the Cotswold and gave some unusual facts which were fascinating. He also pointed out the history and landmarks as we were driving out of central London was a plus.
The four chosen locations were excellent and beautiful in their own right and we were given enough time to roam and explore each place and get a taste of each place. Christian also gave very good tips on what main key landmarks to see, where to eat and shop for little souvenirs etc. A massive Thank you to Christian.
A big ‘thanks’ and shout out to Justin, the other Guide on the 2nd bus, he helped us tourists taking photos of us at the famous Church door which inspired the Tolkein’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ books.
By the end of the day and was back in Central London, I was tired, but this trip was worth it as I got a real good feel of the Cotswold and it will inspire me to return to this beautiful area again, with my cousin who will driving this time haha.
John, the check-in guy was clear with instructions, we were given enough time for (At the local coffee shop) a coffee or tea in my case to let us have some caffeine so we could open or eyes and we widw when the coach set off at 8:25am on a Sunday.
Overall, it was a lovely experience. I would suggest I possible, they could widen their locations to international locations, weekend trips to Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne and maybe some days to explore Ireland.
I would definitely highly recommend this trip to anyone, who has one day to spare in London and would like to see beauty spots outside of London, also for UK people who don’t have cars.
