The private guide will provide a unique insight, as well as an introduction about the history of Hungarian cuisine, from a local perspective of someone passionate about gastronomy and all other aspects of the tour.

This tour is a must-do in Budapest for anyone interested in both the food and history of Hungary. Nora’s in depth knowledge of both gave us a rich and fulfilling day. From the Central Market to our last stop for coffee, we were fed well in between with Hungarian specialties and great stories. Thank you, Nora, for giving us such a great day!

Nora was pleasant and very good at fitting history of BudaPest into walking and eating. She lived in the communist times behind the iron curtain. She’s lived here in the transition to the current parliamentary government. The food choices were at historic restaurants with authentic foods, made with only Hungarian ingredients. She and the food and the places were all authentic and give you great insight into living in Budapest while meeting the rest of your tour group from various parts of the world. I have been on about 9 food tours in as many countries and this ranks tied for the best I’ve seen.

Wow! What a fabulous walking tour , we had today ! We sampled food and drinks in traditional bars and restaurants. Nora , was so knowledgeable about the area , the history, the buildings and the people. The time just flew by ..4/5 hours , so make sure you have comfy footwear on , or you will regret it . We had time to chat to the other couple in our group while we ate…. a really relaxed atmosphere. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Budapest.
